02How We Use Cookies

Essential Cookies (always on)

Necessary for the platform to function, such as authentication (NextAuth), CSRF protection and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics Cookies (opt-in)

Google Analytics and PostHog (product analytics, including anonymized session replay with inputs masked) help us understand which features are used most. These load only after you turn them on in the cookie banner or “Your privacy” dialog.

Preference Storage (always on)

Remembers settings you choose yourself, like theme (dark/light) and dashboard layout. Kept in your browser and never sent to a third party.

Functional (opt-in)

Attaches your recent clicks and network calls to a bug report sent through Glitchgrab, so we can fix a problem without asking you to repeat it. Off until you turn it on; reports still work without it.

03Managing Your Choices

When you first visit PracticeStacks, a consent banner lets you choose “Deny”, “Accept all” or “Customize” to switch Analytics and Functional on or off one by one. Nothing optional is on until you turn it on. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it (GDPR Art. 7(3); DPDP Act, 2023): open Cookie preferences in the footer of any page, or Settings › My account › Cookies when signed in. Switching analytics off also deletes the analytics cookies already set. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if this policy adds a new category. You can also:

Delete all cookies from your device.
Block all cookies (note: this will disable essential platform features).
Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is placed.

04Third-Party Cookies

Some features of our platform rely on third-party services (e.g., Google Maps, Razorpay, and Glitchgrab, which handles bug reports you choose to submit and booking a demo with us) which may set their own cookies on your browser. This activity is governed by the respective third-party privacy policies.
